Founded in 1991, it is a modern band that uses the latest advances on instrumentation and traditional techniques. Jose Angel Hevia Velasco, who gives the band a professional and serious interpretative taste, getting as a result an optimal sound quality, directs it. They collaborate with the Mieres’ music band and the dancers’ group L’ Artusu, from Figareo. They offer a selection of asturian traditional music, as well as some tracks from Scottish and Hispano- American culture. Jose Angel Hevia plays as a soloist the famous Jota Aragonesa of the mythic “Gaitero Mayor” José Remis Ovalle.
