As its title warns, the antique music group Xistras conducted by Benito Lombas performs works from well known European Renaissance composers like Gervaise, Josquin des Prés, Praetorius, Tielman Susato, Frescobaldi, etc., without forgetting two of the most important names of Spanish Renaissance: Juan del Encina and Escobar.

The formation, basically instrumental ( flutes, violins, viola, cello and percussion), counted on a voice quartet for the recording of Spanish compositions.
